India’s opportunity in underwater electronics
Developing specialised underwater electronics domestically can help build technical expertise in an area where conventional commercial electronics cannot simply be transferred directly to underwater applications.
For Indian defence users, indigenous development also creates the possibility of adapting systems around specific requirements, operating environments, configurations and lifecycle-support considerations.
