Equipment designed around the diver

Diving systems are the foundation of underwater operations. For professional and defence divers, equipment must do more than enable a diver to breathe underwater. It must support mobility, control, endurance and safety while functioning reliably in an environment where pressure, temperature, visibility and access can change rapidly.

What are Diving Systems?

INDIC’s role in diving systems development for India

INDIC is developing specialised diving equipment as part of its broader underwater technology portfolio. Systems such as Prankosh and Shvas represent different elements of this capability, addressing the requirements of diving-system configuration and breathing equipment.

INDIC’s objective is to develop these systems in India while building the engineering, manufacturing, testing and support capabilities needed for specialised underwater applications. The future of diving equipment will increasingly involve integration between breathing systems, propulsion, communications, power and other technologies.
